Spring Flowers in Saltburn

As the sign says - ' Welcome to Saltburn '
Saltburn By-the-Sea - my local seaside town just 2 miles from home
Spring has sprung
and the early flowers are in bloom - I hope you enjoy looking at
them
- I'm sorry I can't bring into your homes the perfumes that fill
the air . . .
.
The flowers are displayed in all kinds of 'containers' - from old carts . . .
.
. . . to the coble boats which, in years gone by, will have brought many a good 'catch' back to shore

The peaceful Italian Valley Gardens, appealing at all times of the year . . .
.
. . . especially now and in high summer
.
Admittedly, the bedding plants are very attractive, but you can't beat the natural beauty of wild flowers
.
Near the War Memorial we enjoy another wondeful display . . .
.
. . . and a little further along even more glorious colours in front of the old Zetland Hotel

Looking down from the top of the cliff-lift to the lottery-funded, ongoing repair work to Saltburn Pier . . .

. . . and from the beach

Looking in the opposite direction towards Hunt Cliff . . .

. . . and from here, including the Ship Inn

On the way home, near the entrance to Rushpool Hall . . .
.
. . . a lovely show of daffodils
